This year's theme, Word on the Street, celebrates the unsung voices, perspectives, and wisdom coming from the streets. Word on the Street focuses on the stories, voices, and narratives that shape our culture and cities. It illustrates the importance of literature in expressing the spirit of urban experiences as well as the power of language to inspire, question and mould society.
